The Teton County Detention Center is operated and ran by the Teton County Sheriff’s Department. The facility is spread out between two separate buildings in downtown Jackson, but the buildings are treated as one big facility.
You will be able to enter the facility on the corner of 5th Street and 4th Avenue. All visitors will be required to undergo a weapons screening prior to being allowed on the premises. If you do not want to be searched, you will not be permitted on the premises and you will not be permitted to visit ANY inmate.
All visitors can be turned away as well for any reason. The correctional officers at the Teton County Detention Center are here to keep the peace. Any visitor or inmate who disrupts the peace will be dealt with immediately for the safety of the other visitors, staff, and inmates.
The Teton County Detention Center is also inside the Public Safety Facility. The facility can hold up to 330 inmates at any given time in this building. The Teton County Detention Center is also inside the City hall. In this facility, they can hold up to an additional 509 inmates at any given time.
