The Natrona County Detention Center is situated in Casper, Wyoming. The Natrona County Detention Center is under the operation of Natrona County Sheriff’s Office.
Inmates who have already been sentenced will carry a sentence no more than 2 years. Many of the inmates housed here in the facility are currently awaiting trial. Many of the inmates in the facility are residents of Natrona County. However, there are inmates in the facility that have already been sentenced.
While inmates are serving their time in the Natrona County Detention Center they will have access to a GED prep program, medical care, and three meals a day.
The facility will accept many inmates on a local, state, and even federal level. Not all inmates in the Natrona County Detention Center are residents of Natrona County. They frequently take in inmates from Casper Police Department as they do not have their own lock-up area.
They went through rigorous training that will allow them to protect themselves, inmates, and even visitors if needed. The main mission in the Natrona County Detention Center is to provide the necessary resources to both inmates and staff to help rehabilitate the individuals to become productive members of society. All staff members are highly trained when working with inmates.
