The Washburn County Jail consists of two facilities. These facilities will only house both adult male and adult female inmates.
These facilities will consist of a maximum-security facility and a minimum-security. The maximum-security facility houses inmates who are waiting for their sentence and also adult female inmates who were remanded to serve out their sentence whether it is a single day up to one year.
The minimum-security facility is for adult male inmates who have been remanded to serve out their sentence from a single day up to one year. The minimum-security facility also includes those on work release, and the state S.T.S inmates as well.
The Washburn County Jail is nestled in Shell Lake, Wisconsin. The Washburn County Sheriff’s Office is the law enforcement agency in charge of overseeing the day to day operations of the Washburn County Jail.
The Washburn County Jail has its current inmate roster available online. The current inmate roster will only display inmates under the custody of Washburn County Jail. The roster will not display inmate who has been transferred to another facility, inmates who were put on probation, and inmates who were released. The roster is updated around every 30 minutes to display the most accurate information.
