Franklin County Jail main mission is to protect their staff, inmates, and the community they serve. They also want to provide the best of the best programs to help reduce the likelihood of inmates being re-incarcerated.
The inmates will have the option to purchase items from the commissary. The commissary will deliver the inmates goods on Mondays and Fridays.
Most of the inmates that have been sentenced will carry a sentence of two years and less. The Franklin County Jail is home to inmates who are waiting for their trial to start, going through their trial, and inmates who are waiting to be sentenced. However, there are a handful of inmates who have already been sentenced as well.
While inmates are serving their time out in the Franklin County Jail, they can work throughout the jail such as laundry personnel or a kitchen staff member. In return for their hard work, they can shave off a few days from their overall sentence.
The facility is a medium security correctional facility. The Franklin County Jail mission is to provide a safe and secure facility for both inmates and the staff.
If an inmate is in need of medical attention, they will work with Southern Health Partners for their needs. All inmates will have three meals a day and option to access medical care.
