Washington County Purgatory Correctional Facility is in Hurricane, Utah. The facility is operated and ran by the Washington County Sheriff’s Department.

The Washington County Purgatory Correctional Facility takes in inmates that are awaiting trial or ones who have already been sentenced in Hurricane or throughout the Washington County Courts. Every so often, the Washington County Purgatory Correctional Facility will also take in inmates from surrounding counties if/when they have no room in their counties.

The Washington County Purgatory Correctional Facility will allow inmates to have visitors on certain days, they will be able to call home during certain times, and they will be provided with three meals a day.

All inmates will have the opportunity to seek medical attention if needed as well be provided with all the necessary personal hygiene products.

Inmates will also have the opportunity to have been a part of the work program while they are serving their time. They will be able to be a laundry attendant, or a kitchen helper, among various other positions.
