The goal of the Uintah County Jail is to have all of their staff members meet and exceed the standards that the Administrative Codes, Utah State Statutes, and the United State Constitution set forth. All staff members will go through rigorous training to meet every procedure and policy to ensure the safety of both the other staff members and the community.
In this area, inmates will be processed through the facility. The facility has an intake area. This area can hold up to another 156 inmates at any given time. The Uintah County Jail can house up to 440 inmates at any given time. The intake area consists of holding cells and observation cells. This estimate is for the general inmate population.
The Uintah County Sheriff’s Office will arrest around 25,000 people every year. Not all of these people will be booked and processed through the Uintah County Jail.
The facility houses both adult males and adult females. The facility does not house any juveniles. The Uintah County Jail is a medium-security facility.
