The Juab County Jail mission is to provide a safe and secure facility for both inmates and the staff. The facility is a medium security correctional facility.
The Juab County Jail accepts inmates from other law enforcement agencies on a local, state, and even federal level. The facility operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. The facility frequently takes inmates from the Nephi Police Department since they do not have their own personal long-term lockup.
While new inmates are coming in, there are also inmates leaving as well. Inmates are released when they post bail, placed under probation, or on their own recognizance. The Juab County Jail receives new inmates to the jail daily.
However, inmates are not just from this city, but cities all throughout the county and even people from other counties are in the Juab County Jail. Many of the inmates that are in the facility come right from the Nephi Police Department. This police department does not have its own long-term holding cells as this facility does.
All medical treatments are done by licensed professional doctors and nurses. All inmates who are in the custody of Juab County Jail will have the opportunity to have medical care.
