The Davis County Work Release Facility is operated and managed by the Davis County Sheriff’s Office.
Inmates will also be given three meals a day, clothing, bed linens, and hygiene products. The canteen will sell items such as junk food, beverages, and entertainment items. If an inmate would like to purchase other items to make their stay more comfortable they can go to the canteen.
The facility is a medium security correctional facility. The Davis County Work Release Facility mission is to provide a safe and secure facility for both inmates and the staff.
The Davis County Work Release Facility also provides a Work Center which is a separate facility that holds Work Detail Inmates and the Work Release, inmates. There are around 120 inmates housed in this facility at a given time.
The minimum-security facility is for adult male inmates who have been remanded to serve out their sentence from a single day up to one year. The minimum-security facility also includes those on work release, and the state S.T.S inmates as well.
Inmates who get convicted and have a longer sentence than two years will be transported to another prison throughout the state of Utah. All inmates in the Davis County Work Release Facility will typically have a 2 year or less sentence.
