The Clarendon County Jail is situated in Manning, South Carolina. The Clarendon County Jail is operated and managed by the Clarendon County Sheriff’s Office.
Majority of the inmates that are already sentenced have sentences less than two years. The Clarendon County Jail accepts inmates from surrounding municipalities and towns when there are no rooms in city jails.
All violent and out of control inmates will be separated from the general population inmates to keep the peace inside the facility at all times.
Inmates will need funds in their account to purchase these items from the commissary. The jail uses Access Corrections for their commissary needs. While in the Clarendon County Jail, inmates will have the opportunity to buy products that they are not given by the facility at the commissary.
Inmates in this facility are not always residents of Clarendon County. Inmates are brought to the facility after they have been arrested and interviewed at their local police departments. With the facility working closely with other law enforcement agencies, they will accept inmates from other towns, counties, and even the federal inmates as well.
The Clarendon County Jail only houses adult inmates. No minors will be housed in this facility. The Clarendon County Jail is a medium-security facility.
