The Jackson County Juvenile Detention Center is operated and ran by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office. The facility is also a part of the Work Release/Jail Alternatives Facility.
All inmates in the Jackson County Jail will have access to a variety of programs and services.

The facility is home to adult female and adult male inmates. The Jackson County Jail is a medium-security facility. This facility does not house any juveniles. Juveniles are housed in another facility in the county.
Inmates will also be permitted to send and receive letters and make outgoing phone calls.
The Jackson County Juvenile Detention Center is home to inmates who are waiting for their trial to start, going through their trial, and inmates who are waiting to be sentenced. However, there are a handful of inmates who have already been sentenced as well. Most of the inmates that have been sentenced will carry a sentence of two years and less.
It is for the safety of everyone involved. While inmates can have visitors, all visitors will be subjected to a search prior to entering the facility. Any and all declines of the search will lead you to NOT be permitted inside the facility.
