The Okfuskee County Jail is an all-security detention center. An all-security facility means the facility can house inmates from a minimum-security standpoint to a maximum-security standpoint. This facility will house adult male and adult female inmates.
Inmates will also have the opportunity to purchase other items as they please from the commissary. Inmates in the facility will always have access to use telephones, showers, three meals a day, and medical care if needed. These items will require for them to have money on their books.
However, there are inmates in the facility that have already been sentenced. Many of the inmates housed here in the facility are currently awaiting trial. Inmates who have already been sentenced will carry a sentence no more than 2 years. Many of the inmates in the facility are residents of Okfuskee County.
Within these units, they will hold medium-security male inmates. Three of these housing units are direct supervision housing units. Two more of the housing units are maximum-security indirect supervision that holds male inmates. The last housing pod is an indirect minimum and maximum-security for female inmates. The housing units will also have video visitation booths, outdoor exercise areas, and multi-purpose rooms. One of the mods is a minimum-security direct supervision unit that also holds males. The Okfuskee County Jail has 7 housing units.
