The Le Flore County Jail is responsible for keeping and maintaining a safe and humane environment for both its correctional officers and their inmates. Their staff members will complete a rigorous training that is designed for both their safety and the safety of the inmates they are in charge of.

They do release inmates after they posted bond, was put on probation or finished their sentence. The Leflore County Jail takes in new inmates every day.
The Le Flore County Jail is accredited by the Oklahoma Corrections Accreditation Commission.
This will have all the inmates that are currently sitting in the Le Flore County Jail. The Le Flore County Jail has its inmate roster available for the general public to look at.
Inmates who are deemed violent or may disrupt the peace will be separated from the general population of inmates.
If an inmate wants more products that the facility does not provide, they can purchase them through the commissary with money that they have on their books. Inmates will have the opportunities to use the telephones, showers, have three meals a day, and have the opportunity to have medical care if needed.
The Old Leflore County Jail is one of the last hanging buildings in the Le Flore County area. Back in August of 1982, the Old Leflore County Jail was added to the National Register of Historic Places.
