Run by the Alfalfa County Sheriff’s Office, The Alfalfa County Jail currently houses a maximum capacity of 64 inmates who are held in nine connecting housing units, plus the Receiving and Discharge/Transport unit.
The juvenile inmates are housed in a different facility.
They also want to provide the best of the best programs to help reduce the likelihood of inmates being re-incarcerated. Alfalfa County Detention Center main mission is to protect their staff, inmates, and the community they serve.
Inmates in the Alfalfa County Jail will have three meals a day, access to showers, have permission to use the telephone, send and receive letters from their family and friends, and have access to medical care. Inmates will also have the chance to participate in a number of services and programs.
The Alfalfa County Detention Center offers its inmates many programs while they are serving out their time.
