The Talbert House is nestled in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office is the law enforcement agency is responsible for day to day operation of the Talbert House.
As this facility does not have its own lock-up area. Not all inmates who are in the Talbert House are residents of Hamilton County. The Talbert House also accepts inmates on a local, state, and even federal level. They frequently take in inmates from the Cincinnati Police Department.
However, there are still a handful of inmates who are currently serving out their sentence in the facility. If an inmate is a sentence to a longer sentence, they will be transferred to a different facility. Majority of the inmates in the Talbert House are waiting for their trial to start, going through their trial, or waiting for their sentence. All inmates serving out their sentence in the facility will only have a sentence of 2 years or less.
Not all inmates in the facility have been sentenced. There are inmates in the facility that are waiting for their trial or waiting for their sentencing. As of today, the Talbert House can hold up to 40 inmates at any given time.
These programs are designed to help inmates become productive members of the community upon their release. The Talbert House also offers its inmates many programs to help aid them in their rehabilitation process.
