Run by the Caswell County Sheriff’s Office, The Caswell County Detention Center currently houses a maximum capacity of 120 inmates who are held in nine connecting housing units, plus the Receiving and Discharge/Transport unit.
The Operations Division of Caswell County Detention Center is responsible for the day to day operations of the jail. This division manages the facility and keeps inmate population at a controllable level.
This facility has maintained accreditation from the Corrections Bureau by the American Correctional Association. Presently, they are one of only two facilities in the State of North Carolina to hold this accreditation.
Caswell County Detention Center main mission is to protect their staff, inmates, and the community they serve. They also want to provide the best of the best programs to help reduce the likelihood of inmates being re-incarcerated.
