When coming to visit an inmate in the New York Department of Correction you will need to leave everything behind. The correctional officers of the New York Department of Correction will NOT permit you to bring anything inside of their facility.
If you are bringing a minor with you, please make sure you are their legal guardian. Also, you will need to stay with them the entire time you are in the New York Department of Correction.
