The Valencia County Detention Center is nestled in Los Lunas, New Mexico. The Valencia County Sheriff’s Office is the law enforcement agency responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the Valencia County Detention Center.
The Valencia County Detention Center is a medium-security facility. The facility is home to both adult male and adult female inmates. Majority of the inmates in the facility are either waiting for their trial to start, going through their trial, or they are waiting to be sentenced. There are a handful of inmates who have already been sentenced and serving out their time.
The Valencia County Detention Center accepts inmates from other law enforcement agencies on a local, state, and even federal level. The facility books and processes inmates on a daily basis. The facility is open to book and process inmates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The Valencia County Detention Center has a canteen. The canteen is also known as the commissary. The commissary is brought to the facility by Trinity Services Group. In the commissary, inmates can purchase items such as junk food, beverages, clothing, sneakers, entertainment items, and much more.
All inmates in the facility will have the opportunity to use the shower facility, phones, have three meals a day, visitation, and medical care.
