The Stanton County Jail is located in the southeast section of Nebraska. The population of Stanton County is a little less than 11,000. The Stanton County Sheriff’s Office was established back in March of 1843.
The intake area consists of holding cells and observation cells. The Stanton County Jail can house up to 440 inmates at any given time. In this area, inmates will be processed through the facility. This area can hold up to another 156 inmates at any given time. The facility has an intake area. This estimate is for the general inmate population.

Not all of these people will be booked and processed through the Stanton County Jail. The Stanton County Sheriff’s Office will arrest around 25,000 people every year.
