The facility is a medium-security facility meaning most of the inmates here will have a sentence of 2 years or less. The facility will provide the inmates with personal hygiene products, medical care (if/when needed), and three meals a day.
The Richardson County Jail is situated in Falls City, Nebraska. The Richardson County Sheriff’s Office is the law enforcement agency responsible for the day to day operation of the Richardson County Jail.
The facility will only keep inmates if they have a sentence under two years. Either inmates in the Richardson County Jail will be waiting for their trial or they will be serving out their sentence. If an inmate has a sentence over two years, they will be transferred to state prison.
At times, the Richardson County Jail will also house federal inmates or inmates from the surrounding counties. The Richardson County Jail also works closely with other law enforcement agencies other than the sheriff’s office.
The phone service the facility uses is Securus Technologies. Even though an inmate is serving their time out in the Richardson County Jail, it does not mean they cannot call home to their loved ones. The facility requires the inmates family and friends to load up money on the inmate’s phone account for them to call home.
