The Lincoln County Detention Center is a medium-security facility. The facility only houses both adult male and adult female inmates. This facility does not house juvenile inmates. When an inmate is booked and process into the facility, they will be given their uniforms, personal hygiene products, and linens (bed and bath). They will also have access to the reading library along with having access to the daily local newspapers.
Inmates in the Lincoln County Detention Center are encouraged to write home to their family and friends. If a letter or a package is sent through another carrier it will be denied and sent back to the original sender. All letters or packages will have to be shipped through the United States Postal Service (USPS). Family and friends can send an inmate a letter.
The Lincoln County Detention Center has a safe and humane environment. The facility not only meets and exceeds state standards, but the facility also exceeds the national standards as well. Sheriff Leahy is responsible for all of the jail operations.
