The Mineral County Jail is located in the southeast section of Montana. The population of Mineral County is a little less than 11,000. The Mineral County Sheriff’s Office was established back in March of 1843.
The Montana State Board of Corrections permitted this original structure to house up to 108 inmates; however, this total was fulfilled immediately. This happened within two months of the jail opening.
Inmates in the Mineral County Jail will have access to a variety of programs and services. These programs and services are put in place to help ensure that inmates will not re-offend when they get released from the facility.
