Located in Havre, Montana, and run by the Hill County Sheriff’s Department, the Hill County Jail houses inmates in the county from low level to higher level crimes.
Every year Hill County Jail averages 3500 bookings, with a daily average of 175 Inmates and a staff of 43.
The facility currently has 159 general population beds, 13 fixed beds for booking, 1 padded cell, 1 medical isolation cell, and 1 large intake holding cell for overflow inmates. Twenty-eight of the 175 beds are for female inmates.
The Hill County Jail currently employs:

- Three Corporals
- Twenty Officers
The Hill County Inmates are provided three meals a day that are approved by a dietician in accordance with the Montana Nutritional Standards. The kitchen staff oversees the food preparation and delivery.
Family and Friends of inmates are permitted to:
• Receive phone calls from inmates
• Send inmates commissary money
• Receive and send inmates mail
• Visit inmates during visiting hours
Inmates in Hill County Jail are provided with a variety of programs including a GED program, 12-step meetings, religious services, and more.
On August 17, 2014, the Hill County Jail was awarded full accreditation under the Core Standards.
