In the St. Charles County Juvenile Detention, the commissary is contracted out to the LoneStar Commissary. In the facility, the commissary is also referred to as the canteen. Inmates will only be able to make purchases up to $200 each week.
The St. Charles County Juvenile Detention is situated in St. Charles, Missouri. The LaSalle Corrections is the law enforcement agency responsible for the day to day operation of the St. Charles County Juvenile Detention.
The St. Charles County Juvenile Detention is a medium-security detention center. This facility will house adult male and adult female inmates. This facility does not house any juveniles. Juveniles are housed in a separate facility within the county.
Even though constitutionally the jail is the responsibility of the St. Charles County Sheriff’s Office, but the day to day operations as mentioned above is managed by the LaSalle Corrections. The LaSalle Corrections took over the responsibility of the jail back in 2007. The taxpayers in St. Charles County has spent countless amounts of money to help with the efficient management system they have in place.
