The mission of the Putnam County Jail is to provide a safe and secure confinement of those persons committed to the custody of the jail, and to ensure that all inmates are treated in accordance with the established laws of the United States of America and the State of Missouri, and the Jail administration work daily to meet that mission.
This facility does not house any juveniles. The facility works closely with many law enforcement agencies on a local, state, and federal level. The Putnam County Jail is a medium-security detention center. This facility will house adult male and adult female inmates.
