The Callaway County Jail allows inmates to have visitors, such as their family and friends. The facilities policy is that the inmates will need to provide a list of their family and friends who will want to visit them while they are in the facility. Every visitor that wants to visit an inmate will be required to make an appointment prior to visiting. To make an appointment, you will need to contact the number provided.
The facility houses both adult female and adult male inmates. The Callaway County Jail is medium-security detention center. The facility does not house any juvenile inmates.
The Callaway County Jail will house inmates who have a sentence of two years or less. There are a number of inmates who are currently serving out their sentence in the facility as well. The Callaway County Jail is made up of mainly of inmates who are currently waiting for their trial to start, inmates who are going through their trial, and inmates who are waiting to be sentenced. If an inmate is sentenced to more than two years, they will be transferred out to state prison within Missouri.
They do release inmates after they posted bond, was put on probation or finished their sentence. The Callaway County Jail takes in new inmates every day.
