The Bollinger County Jail is nestled in Marble Hill, Missouri. The Bollinger County Sheriff’s Office is the law enforcement agency is responsible for day to day operation of the Bollinger County Jail.
Inmates in the facility will either be waiting for their trial or serving out their sentence. This facility does not house any juveniles. The Bollinger County Jail is a medium-security detention center that can hold up to 32 inmates at any given time. This facility will house adult male and adult female inmates.
Not all inmates who are in the Bollinger County Jail are residents of Bollinger County. They frequently take in inmates from the Marble Hill Police Department. As this facility does not have its own lock-up area. The Bollinger County Jail also accepts inmates on a local, state, and even federal level.
In July of 2013, due to an increase of funding in the Bollinger County Sheriff’s Office Corrections Division, the jail was able to open housing areas that were previously closed due to the lack of funding.
Inmates can also take advantage of the showers, medical care, educational programs and so much more. Inmates can have visits with their families, write letters, and call home. The facility gives inmates many of these privileges in exchange for their good behavior.
Depending on the classification level the inmate has, they may have access to the television daily and they may have access to outside recreation on a weekly basis.
