Jackson County Jail main mission is to protect their staff, inmates, and the community they serve. They also want to provide the best of the best programs to help reduce the likelihood of inmates being re-incarcerated.
Inmates in the Jackson County Jail will have three meals a day, access to showers, have permission to use the telephone, send and receive letters from their family and friends, and have access to medical care. Inmates will also have the chance to participate in a number of services and programs.
These jobs will pay a small salary and they can even shave off a few days from their sentences as well. Trust inmates can be trusted with jobs such as laundry personnel, commissary, cooks, and orderlies. Inmates can build up their trust in the facility.
Inmates who have already been sentenced will carry a sentence for less than two years. The Jackson County Jail is a medium-security detention center. The facility holds inmates who are awaiting trial, waiting to be sentenced, or already have been sentenced.
If an inmate is in need of medical attention, they will work with Southern Health Partners for their needs. All inmates will have three meals a day and option to access medical care.
The commissary will deliver the inmates goods on Mondays and Fridays. The inmates will have the option to purchase items from the commissary.
