The Garrett County Detention Center is a medium-security facility. This facility will house adult male and adult female inmates. This facility does not house any juveniles. Juveniles are housed in a different facility in the county.

Mark Burns, Lieutenant has been the Garrett County Detention Center commander over the last 10 years. The facility was built back in 2015.
