The Calvert County Detention Center is in Prince Frederick, Maryland. The facility is also known as the Calvert County Jail.

They had the metal bars and a linear hallway between cells. This allowed for inmates to throw things at the correctional officers as they walked the hallway and did their surveillance. The old Calvert County Detention Center typically booked anywhere between 300 to 325 inmates every single day. This facility was the old style. The old facility had a lot of history throughout the years.

In these pods, they will have a few individual cells that have metal doors and a single window. Every inmate will be assigned to a pod. This new facility is sectioned into pods.

All violent and out of control inmates will be separated from the general population inmates to keep the peace inside the facility at all times.

This common area comes equipped with metal tables, a television with limited programming, and a shower. Inmates will have the opportunity to be in the common area of their pod for a few hours a day.
