Most inmates in the facility are either waiting for their trial to start, going through their trial, or waiting for their sentencing. All inmates in the facility will always have three meals a day and access to the showers for their personal hygiene care.
In April 2016, the Guernsey county started contracting with premier physicians services to help provide inmates health care while in jail. These services include a doctor going to jail on a weekly basis, alongside a full-time nurse and two part-time nurses.
The facilities correctional officers do not only search and keep the facility safe, but they also help with transportation of inmates to and from the courthouse as needed.
