The Washington County Jail was built back in 1973. The facility is a maximum-security jail. The Washington County Sheriff’s Department is responsible for maintaining and operating the Washington County Jail.
Medical care is available for inmates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They will also have a few single cells for inmates who need to stay overnight for further treatment. All medical staff is licensed. Inmates in the Washington County Jail will have access to medical care.
This job will come with a small salary and the chance to have a few days shaved off your sentence. Inmates in the facility can become a trusted inmate. When you are a trusted inmate, you can have the opportunity to have a job within the facility such as working in the laundry section, kitchen, or an orderly.
The facility does not house any juvenile inmates. The facility houses both adult female and adult male inmates.
All inmates in the facility will have access to showers, the telephones, having 3 meals a day, and medical treatment when needed. Inmates will also be able to participate in programs such as educational and substance abuse programs as while they are serving their time out.
