There are a number of inmates who are currently serving out their sentence in the facility as well. The Clinton County Jail will house inmates who have a sentence of two years or less. If an inmate is sentenced to more than two years, they will be transferred out to state prison within Iowa.
The Clinton County Jail allows inmates to phone home between the hours of 8 AM to 10 PM. Inmates will also be permitted to have visitors. These visitors can come during the listed hours. Inmates can also send and receive letters from their loved ones as well.
