The Benton County Jail is also known as the Benton County Adult Detention Center. The Benton County Jail will house individuals who are being charged and those who have already been convicted of all sorts of crimes in Benton County.
The Benton County Jail houses inmates on all security levels. The facility will house boarded inmates from other law enforcement agencies on a local, state, and even federal level. The facility takes in many inmates from the surrounding jails due to overcrowding or if an inmate has special needs that the facility cannot accommodate.
Inmates who are serving out their time in the Benton County Jail will carry a sentence less than a year. If an inmate was sentenced and their sentence is greater than a year, they will be transferred out to state prison.
The Benton County Jail can house up to 35 inmates. They will house either adult male and adult female inmates. The facility does not house any juveniles. The juveniles are held in a different facility within the county.
The Benton County Jail is a state of the art jail equipped with surveillance systems. The facility is locked and loaded with six housing units. Every housing unit contains many cells on two levels. They also have a central common area where inmates will have their meals, be able to socialize with one another, and even have a secure outdoor recreation area.
