The facility is staffed with 10 full-time correctional officers alongside the jail administration. All correctional officers will be required to undergo a 120-hour course held by the Illinois Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. All correctional officers will also need to be certified in CPR and first aid.
The Will County Detention Facility also offers its inmates many programs to help aid them in their rehabilitation process. These programs are designed to help inmates become productive members of the community upon their release.

If an inmate is on work release, they will be charged $70 plus an additional $15 as well. Inmates that are in the Will County Detention Facility will be billed $70 a day they are in the facility.
