The Piatt County Jail is nestled in Monticello, Illinois. The Piatt County Sheriff’s Office Is the law enforcement agency responsible for the day to day operation of the Piatt County Jail.
All correctional officers are required to attend the correction/detention officer basic course held by the Illinois Law Enforcement Academy in Helena, Illinois. The facilities main goal is to provide a safe and humane environment for the correctional officers and the inmates who are currently residing in jail.
The inmates in this facility are either sentenced or awaiting their trial. The facility is a medium detention center that holds adult inmates.
The Piatt County Jail will supply all basic hygiene products, clothing, and bedding to inmates. They will need to ask a staff member for a razor to shave. There will be inmates will be responsible for washing their undergarments, but all uniforms and bedding will be washed by the facility, All inmates within the facility will be required to shower at least twice a week.
