The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Jail is nestled in Sycamore, Illinois. The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office is the law enforcement agency is responsible for day to day operation of the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Jail.
The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Jail is a medium-security facility. The facility houses both adult female and adult male inmates. The facility does not house any juvenile inmates.
The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Jail is home to inmates who are waiting for their trial to start, going through their trial, and inmates who are waiting to be sentenced. However, there are a handful of inmates who have already been sentenced as well. Most of the inmates that have been sentenced will carry a sentence of two years and less.
