The Mclennan County Jail is nestled Chicago, Illinois. The Cook County Sheriff’s Office is the law enforcement agency in charge of the day to day operation of the Cook County Jail – Juvenile Detention Center.
The facility can currently house up to 350 inmates. The facility opened its doors back in 2010. The Cook County Jail – Juvenile Detention Center is also known as the Cook County Detention Facility.
The Cook County Jail – Juvenile Detention Center will house inmates who have a sentence of two years or less. The Cook County Jail – Juvenile Detention Center works closely with Jack Harwell Detention Center. If an inmate is sentenced to more than two years, they will be transferred out to state prison within Illinois.
Inmates will also have the opportunity to call their loved ones as well. Inmates can also receive letters from their loved ones.
