The Cook County Jail – Division II & III Annex is in Chicago, Illinois. The Cook County Sheriff’s Office is the law enforcement agency in charge of the day to day operation of the Cook County Jail – Division II & III Annex.
The Cook County Jail – Division II & III Annex is a medium-security detention center. The facility operates on a 24-hour basis. The Cook County Jail – Division II & III Annex will only house adult male and adult female inmates. This facility will not house any juvenile inmates are housed in a different facility within the county.
TheCook County Jail – Division II & III Annex is made up of mainly of inmates who are currently waiting for their trial to start, inmates who are going through their trial, and inmates who are waiting to be sentenced. There are a number of inmates who are currently serving out their sentence in the facility as well. The Cook County Jail – Division II & III Annex will house inmates who have a sentence of two years or less. If an inmate is sentenced to more than two years, they will be transferred out to state prison within Illinois.
