The Cook County Jail – D.O.C. Cermak Hospital is a medium-security detention center that can hold up to 84 inmates at any given time. This facility will house adult male and adult female inmates. Juveniles are housed in a separate facility within the county.
The facility also employs a lieutenant, sergeant, and a corporal. The facility employs correctional officers who are divided into four shifts.
Inmates that are in the Cook County Jail – D.O.C. Cermak Hospital will be billed $70 a day they are in the facility. If an inmate is on work release, they will be charged $70 plus an additional $15 as well.
