The Franklin County Jail & Detention Center is operated and managed by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department.

Inmates in the facility will either be waiting for their trial or serving out their sentence. This facility does not house any juveniles. The Franklin County Jail & Detention Center is a medium-security detention center that can hold up to 32 inmates at any given time. This facility will house adult male and adult female inmates.

They will get their uniforms, blanket, towel, bed sheets,  and hygiene products. The Franklin County Jail & Detention Center provides its inmates three meals a day and medical care when needed. All inmates when they check in will receive the necessary items they need to get accustomed to jail life.

Inmates can also take advantage of the showers, medical care, educational programs and so much more. The facility gives inmates many of these privileges in exchange for their good behavior. Inmates can have visits with their families, write letters, and call home.

The facility is a medium security correctional facility. They cooperate with other criminal justice agencies. The facility adheres to both state and federal laws. The Franklin County Jail & Detention Center mission is to provide a safe and secure facility for both inmates and the staff.

All violent and out of control inmates will be separated from the general population inmates to keep the peace inside the facility at all times.
