The Crisp County Jail is nestled in Cordele, Georgia. The Crisp County Sheriff’s Office is the law enforcement agency responsible for the day to day operation of the Crisp County Jail.
As of 2018, big things are happening over at the Crisp County Jail. There is a project going on known as the Crisp County Jail Project. This project is a big expansion and restoration project. This project will be replacing at least 200 community corrections center beds, also known as the old Elks Club.
The project will also be adding nearly 320 beds to the Crisp County Jail, which will bring up the grand total to around 720 beds in the county jail alone.
The project will be fixing up and replacing many of the outdated sallyports, restoring the intake and release unit, as well as doing the same to the jail administration offices, jail medical, 27/7 program area, master control room, jail lobby, visitation room. These areas are currently nestled in the Public Safety Building.
The project will also be adding another floor to the already 4 stories to the jail. They are also adding another three-floor jail addition, which will consist of more inmate housing areas and other jail-related support areas.
The Crisp County Jail has its current inmate roster available on the web for the community to search. The roster will display the inmates who are currently in custody with Crisp County Jail and not inmates who have been released, on probation or transferred to another facility.
