Run by the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, The Madison County Juvenile Detention currently houses a maximum capacity of 56 inmates who are held in nine connecting housing units, plus the Receiving and Discharge/Transport unit.
The Operations Division of Madison County Juvenile Detention is responsible for the day to day operations of the jail. This division manages the facility and keeps inmate population at a controllable level.
This facility has maintained accreditation from the Corrections Bureau by the American Correctional Association. Presently, they are one of only two facilities in the State of Florida to hold this accreditation.
Madison County Detention Center main mission is to protect their staff, inmates, and the community they serve. They also want to provide the best of the best programs to help reduce the likelihood of inmates being re-incarcerated.
