The Bay County Jail has many programs and services that inmates can participate in or take advantage of. These programs and services include, but not limited to the following:

In the Bay County Jail, the commissary is contracted out to the LoneStar Commissary. In the facility, the commissary is also referred to as the canteen. Inmates will only be able to make purchases up to $200 each week.
The Bay County Jail is situated in Panama City, Florida. The LaSalle Corrections is the law enforcement agency responsible for the day to day operation of the Bay County Jail.
The Bay County Jail is a medium-security detention center. This facility will house adult male and adult female inmates. This facility does not house any juveniles. Juveniles are housed in a separate facility within the county.
Even though constitutionally the jail is the responsibility of the Bay County Sheriff’s Office, but the day to day operations as mentioned above is managed by the LaSalle Corrections. The LaSalle Corrections took over the responsibility of the jail back in 2007. The taxpayers in Bay County has spent countless amounts of money to help with the efficient management system they have in place.
