The St. Francis County Jail is a medium-security county jail. It is home to adult male inmates who reside or did a crime in the St. Francis County area. The jail does not house anyone under the age of 18 in this facility.

The mission of the St. Francis County Jail is to provide a safe and secure place for those who are currently incarcerated in the Forrest City area.

The facility is one of the areas that help keep the community safe with the rehabilitation of inmates prior to them going back into the community.

The correctional officers that work in the Pacific County Jail work more than one job as well. Most correctional officers are required to release and process inmates, serve inmates their meals that the cook prepares, wash inmates laundry, clean the facility, and supervise the facility throughout the day and night for the protection of the staff and inmates.

Most of the inmates in the facility have already been sentenced. However, there are inmates that are currently awaiting trial as well. Many of the inmates will complete their sentence in the Pacific County Detention Center if there is space available.

The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art security systems that control locks and doors. It’s all computerized and has an integrated touch screen security that allows internal communications. They have over 130 cameras that record the facility 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
