A direct supervision jail mainly focuses on managing the inmate’s behavior to provide a secure and humane environment for staff, visitors, and inmates. The staff will interact with the inmates in their housing units, while also keeping an eye on them to pinpoint issues before they get too big.
Every housing unit is nearly the same. They will consist of a video visitation area, telephones to call home, gaming and dining tables, a common television, recreational area, a classroom, and a canteen/vending machines.
