The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office is the law enforcement agency responsible for operated and managing the Maricopa County Madison Jail (CLOSED FOR RENOVATION).
The Sheriff’s Office main mission is to try and reduce the inmate population by providing them with proactive, yet innovative release programs to help them not re-offend again.

Inmates residing in the Maricopa County Madison Jail (CLOSED FOR RENOVATION) will either be waiting for their trial or serving out their sentence. This facility does not house any juveniles. The Maricopa County Madison Jail (CLOSED FOR RENOVATION) will only keep inmates who have a two year or less sentence. This facility will house adult male and adult female inmates.
All inmates will also have access to personal hygiene care products as well. All inmates will have access to medical care (if needed). Inmates can expect to receive three meals a day as well as a highly structured day.
The facility also holds inmates who couldn’t make bail, who was denied bail, or broke their bond requirements and awaiting trial. However, the facility does not only old those who have already been sentenced.
