The Maricopa County First Avenue Jail is situated in Phoenix, Arizona. The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office is the law enforcement agency that is responsible for the operation of the Maricopa County First Avenue Jail.
Every day inmates will get three nutritious meals, have the opportunity to use the telephone, shower, and purchase items from the facilities commissary. They will be giving clean bed linens and clothes twice a week.
Not all inmates are residents of Maricopa County, as the facility works closely with many law enforcement agencies on a state, local, and federal level. This facility will house adult male and adult female inmates. The McHenry County Jail is a medium-security detention center. This facility does not house any juveniles.
The facility accepts inmates every day. Some inmates will be released from the facility either because the facility is overcrowded, they have finished their sentence, they are going on probation, or they posted bail. The facility is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The jail also includes a release center and an intake center. The facility also houses inmates who are currently going through the judicial system as well. The jail is not only home to those who have already been convicted of their crimes.
Inmates in the Maricopa County First Avenue Jail will either be waiting for their trial to begin or they will be serving out their sentence in the facility.
