The Coosa County Sheriff’s Office is the agency responsible for keeping and maintaining the Coosa County Jail. In addition to taking in their own residents, the facility also houses inmates wanted from other states and in other counties throughout the state of Alabama as well as take in inmates from the U.S. Marshall’s as well.
It also operates with the Oriana House as well. The facility is a minimum-security facility.
However, inmates are not just from this city, but cities all throughout the county and even people from other counties are in the Coosa County Jail. This police department does not have its own long-term holding cells as this facility does. Many of the inmates that are in the facility come right from the Rockford Police Department.
