The Coosa County Jail is situated in Rockford, Alabama. The Coosa County Sheriff’s Office is the law enforcement agency responsible for the operation of the Coosa County Jail.

The Coosa County Jail is a medium-security jail facility. The facility only houses adult male and adult female inmates. The facility does not house any juvenile inmates. The juveniles are housed in a separate facility in the county.

The facility does not just hold residents of the Coosa County. The Coosa County Jail also accepts inmates from other law enforcement agencies on a local, state, and even federal level. They can hold federal inmates who have a court appearance in the area.

Not all inmates in the facility are serving their sentence. Majority of inmates are waiting for their trial to start, going through their trial, or waiting to be sentenced. Inmates who have already been sentenced will carry a sentenced of two years or less.
