The Darlington County Jail main mission is keeping the peace between the county, staff members, and inmates. The sheriff’s department is the agency accountable when it comes to jail since they are elected official. They are the agency that patrols the entire county keeping the peace and bringing in individuals who are breaking the law.

The Darlington County Prison Camp is operated and ran by the Darlington County Sheriff’s Department.

The facility can hold up to 51 inmates at any given time in this building. The Darlington County Jail has its inmate roster available for the public to view online.

All visitors will be required to undergo a weapons screening prior to being allowed on the premises. If you do not want to be searched, you will not be permitted on the premises and you will not be permitted to visit ANY inmate.

All visitors can be turned away as well for any reason. The correctional officers at the Darlington County Prison Camp are here to keep the peace. Any visitor or inmate who disrupts the peace will be dealt with immediately for the safety of the other visitors, staff, and inmates.

While inmates are serving their time in the Darlington County Jail they will have access to a GED prep program and three meals a day.

Medical care is available when needed. If the medical staff at the facility cannot handle it, the inmate will be transferred to the local hospital with correctional officers.
